Angelina Jolie, who has yet to finalize her gritty divorce from Brad Pitt, revealed that the family drama got in the way of her professional career in Hollywood.
“I love directing, but I had a change in the dynamics of my family that did not allow me to do it for some years,” explained the Oscar winner, 45, in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly magazine.
The “Maleficent” actress acknowledged that she does not have enough time to commit to her dream of directing. Hence, the mother of six has resumed her acting profession to meet the needs of Hollywood and family life.

The actress is currently starring in “Those Who Wish Me Dead,” which will premiere in theaters and on HBO Max simultaneously on May 14. Regarding this role, the star said that it was difficult for her to compose it since the woman she plays “is not very maternal,” unlike her.
