A shooting at a Southern California office building left four dead, including a child, and one injured before Police shot the suspect, authorities said.
Shots were being fired at the time police officers arrived at the two-story building on Lincoln Avenue in Orange around 5:30 pm, Lt. Jennifer Amat reported.

Amat said the shooting occurred on the second level of the building. According to local media, the bodies were on the second-floor walkway and in a courtyard.
What might have triggered the shooting, or why was there a child at Lincoln Avenue, 202 West? Amat had no details about the confrontation. Signs outside the property indicated the presence of various businesses, including an insurance brokerage, a financial consultancy, a legal advisory service, and a cell phone repair shop.
By 7:00 pm, the situation had stabilized, and there was no risk to the public, Police said.

A live feed on Facebook, posted by a resident who lives near the building, showed officers pulling out one immobile person and helping another, the Orange County Register reported. In the broadcast, Police could be seen taking two pistols from someone who was lying on the floor. Authorities took two people away in shackles, the newspaper added.
This is the last mass shooting in the United States in the last two weeks. Ten people were killed in a Boulder, Colorado, supermarket last week, and eight others – six of them Asian women – at three Atlanta massage centers a week earlier.
Since December 1997, The shooting was the worst in the city, when a man loaded with an assault rifle attacked a Department of Transportation California maintenance center and shot four people before being executed by Police, according to Amat.
The city of Orange is about 30 miles (48 kilometers) southeast of Los Angeles and has a population of about 140,000 people.
The Police have reported that a police shooting took place in a shopping complex at around 5:30 pm (local time) and that the situation had now “stabilized.”
